Head of School - Foundation, Community and ESOL

Solihull College & University Centre is recruiting for a Head of School – Foundation, Community and ESOL.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and inspirational individual and will lead on this diverse school’s curriculum areas, including foundation learning, community education and ESOL, to deliver a high-quality experience for all learners in the school.

They will have experience of working with young people and adults with complex needs and will be able to manage a diverse curriculum area.

They will demonstrate a commitment to further developing relations with external bodies and organisations to shape a relevant curriculum to enhance learners’ experiences, together with a proven track record in leading teams to achieve excellence in teaching and learning. A strong understanding and experience of delivery of programmes for young people and adults including provision for SEN is essential.

A relevant Degree level qualification (or equivalent) and Level 5 teaching qualification are also essential requirements. A Masters qualification would be an advantage.

Please note if you are selected for the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply. Unfortunately, the College is unable to contribute towards the associated travel costs.
