Lecturer / Assessor / Lead IV - Engineering

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an engineering specialist with industry and classroom experience to join the School of Engineering. The post holder will teach and assess on a range of apprenticeship programmes, providing high levels of teaching and assessment for candidates to achieve a high level of occupational competence against both apprenticeship frameworks/standards. The post holder will work with apprentices to instil the necessary skills, knowledge, behaviours required in their occupation. The post holder will also coach and mentor apprentices towards completion of their EPA, ensuring they are ready for completion.

The post holder will act as the lead on quality assurance for the school. As Lead IV, the post holder will support and mentor members of the team to ensure the highest levels of assessment practice run through the School’s quality cycle. 

The successful applicant will have:

• Level 4/5 Electrical and/or Engineering qualification

• Relevant Level 5 teaching qualification (or committed to work towards in line with contractual requirements)

• Level 3 Assessor Award or equivalent 

• Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent.

Please note if you are selected for the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply.  Unfortunately, the College is unable to contribute towards the associated travel costs.
