Communication Support Worker

To work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, term time only 40 weeks

Fixed term until July 2023

Location: Wakefield City Campus

We are recruiting for Communication Support Workers to join our dedicated Additional Learning Support team. This is a specialist and varied role where you will provide appropriate non-teaching support to Deaf learners.

As a Communication Support Worker, you will provide deaf learners with appropriate support using a range of communication modes and strategies as appropriate in conjunction with the SENDCO, in addition to adapting and proofreading course material as required.

As a Communication Support Worker, have previous experience of working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners and be qualified to level 3 in BSL and have the ability to take notes for learners.
