Luminate Education Group brings together a number of primary, secondary, further and higher education institutions in Yorkshire.

These education institutions are supported by Luminate's Professional Services team that provide integrated Finance, People Services, IT and Estates services.

Within the People Services team we are organised into have 4 teams:

  • Recruitment - Focus on safer recruitment.
  • People Services - Focus on providing employee through career support and first point of contact advice to managers.
  • Business Partnering - Provide embedded strategic HR support to campus and functional leadership teams. Responsible for more complex ER matters.
  • L&OD - Focus on Talent Development and Competence Assurance.

We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our four other Senior HR Business Partners in the Business Partnering Team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Each Senior HR Business Partner is assigned a specific campus or campuses (depending on size) and potentially one of the support functions.

In the role you will be an embedded member of the campus and/or functional management team.

You will lead on all HR matters in your area of responsibility leveraging the support of other HR teams.

You will be the team's critical friend helping them design their organisation, shape their culture and enact change in line with the Luminate Vision, Values and Strategy

YOUR PROFILE 

  • You will be Level 7 CIPD qualified.
  • You will have experience of HR partnering.
  • Union experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • You must be persuasive in debate and on paper; being able to manage conflict.
  • Your ability to build positive working relationships is essential.

A keenness to improve processes, systems, organisation design, people development, performance, efficiency and engagement is essential; as is a tenaciousness and comfort in taking calculated risks to enact those improvements.
