WHAT WE DO
Luminate FE Colleges have an innovative approach to teaching, learning, assessment and pride themselves in being at the 'cutting edge' of practice across the sector. The college’s main digital platform is G Suite for Education and we are one of only a few Google Reference Colleges in the UK. This status was awarded to the college based on impact on learning, through the extensive use of collaborative learning tools and the development of bespoke training programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner to support our journey to outstanding across the FE Colleges. As part of a central team English and Maths team, you will provide excellent customer service and support for curriculum departments in delivering the highest quality teaching, learning and assessment for students and apprentices. You will be an excellent teacher of English with a proven record of ‘good or better’ teaching, learning and assessment as well as a passion to implement innovative and evidence based practice. Responsibilities will include the sharing of best practice, mentoring, coaching and embedding English, alongside the improvement of our tracking systems to maximise assessment and progress of our English outcomes. You will have a confident and empathic approach to mentoring and coaching colleagues and lead on the training and development of the of English CPD offer. You will probably be the type of person who is really organised, is a great communicator and forward thinking and could pass this enthusiasm onto others! WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will drive forward the implementation of the TLA strategy across the FE Colleges
- You will provide pedagogic advice, guidance and support to shape a more creative and innovative approach to curriculum design
- You will inform and support action plans for improvement and curriculum innovation
- You will effectively support the development of staff skills, digital literacy and improvements, through the design and delivery of training, mentoring and professional learning activities
- You will maintain and update knowledge of educational and technological research
- You will support curriculum management and teams in implementing a blended curriculum
