We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a Lecturer Teacher Education on a supply basis.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a suitably skilled and qualified Lecturer to work within our Teacher Education team. 

You will teach on the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Secondary English Medium Programme as the subject specialist for Biology. 

Your key role is to work as part of the team to support our students to develop skills and competencies to lead learning as future teachers of Biology.  You will work with the students to develop their understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence, SQA qualifications and the pedagogy required to engage young people in the learning of Biology.

Teaching on this programme is delivered through our Virtual Learning Environment and on site at our Inverness Campus. 

Essential Criteria:

GTCS Registered for Secondary Biology

Relevant experience of teaching Biology in Scottish Secondary schools

Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland prior to commencing employment.
