The Position: We’re looking for an Assessor Trainer in Engineering knowledge and skills related relating to Manufacturing. We would like to discuss further with you your specialisms during an interview.

Requirements for the role:

  • To assess work placements for Health and Safety in accordance with College and legal requirements.
  • To participate in the enrolment process, signing up learners and completing all contract information in liaison with learners, employers and parents, including some Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).
  • To contribute to recruitment, manage retention, withdrawals and monitor / report achievement.

Responsibilities for the role:

  • To prepare, and assess learners at NVQ levels 2-3 through the assessment of students in line with awarding body standards. To prepare, and assess learners at NVQ level 4 is a target for the provision.
  • To ensure target setting and monitoring of learners is undertaken in the interests of promoting timely completion; to take responsibility for reporting concerns with progress.
  • To make use of IT to aid the progress of training e.g. through the use of diary and tracking systems, e –portfolios, Moodle etc.

The Location: The post is based at Nuneaton Campus – but delivery at other sites will be required. These are great places to live with plenty of social and sport facilities together with great transport links.

What we do

North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College (NWSLC) is a large Further Education college offering a wide range of full-time, part-time, Higher Education and Apprenticeship programmes over six campuses based within Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
