This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a role as an iLearn mentor (LRC) to support our journey to outstanding. Formerly the LRC team, iLearn (Independent Learning) as a team has been through a great change in focus to ensure that we are geared up to support learning beyond the four walls of a classroom. These positions will be vital in supporting our vision to develop student’s skills to be more independent, and in turn, better equipped to succeed in their learning whilst at college and beyond. As part of a team, you will provide excellent customer service and assistance for students, supporting and empowering students to make progress away from the traditional classroom setting. You will drive the development of learner’s skills and knowledge around being independent learners. Responsibilities will include delivering sessions and activities to learners, and working to support small groups around their development of their independent learning skills. You will have a confident and empathic approach, to develop all learners based on their starting points. You will be the type of person who is well organised, a great communicator and forward thinking and able to pass this enthusiasm onto our learners.
