The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair and beauty salons and a fine dining restaurant.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative teacher in ESOL within our busy Curriculum Area of ESOL, Adult English and Maths.

The successful candidate will need experience in teaching English as a second language, from complete beginners to higher levels. Experience of teaching 16-18s and adults in a College and/or community environment is essential, as well as bringing and delivering creative and imaginative approaches to learners including the use of digital technologies to promote independence in learning. Experience of teaching Maths and ICT Functional Skills and Employability courses is hugely advantageous.

You will be passionate about your subject and have the ability and desire to enthuse others. You will be organised and experienced in course administration and have high expectations of both yourself and your students.

Enabling students to be successful in this area is a high priority within the Faculty, and you will become an integral part of a teaching team with a drive and determination to continually raise standards in this vital subject area.

The qualifications deemed essential for these posts are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C), a subject specialist qualification in teaching a second language and a Level 5 teaching qualification or the willingness to undertake this in a specified timescale. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.
