This is an exciting job opportunity where you’ll join the Surrey ISC team as a Psychology Tutor.  Teaching small classes of maximum 15 international students studying on our Level 6 programmes, you’ll have the opportunity to work in an autonomous environment where student centred, innovative, lessons are encouraged.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

There is fantastic opportunity in this job role for you to develop. You’ll have the chance to deliver and develop engaging lessons for students on our Pre-Masters Programmes (Level 6). You will focus on the following modules, being influential in their design and delivery: research design; journal article analysis (with a focus on what it means to think critically); and introduction to psychology at Level 6. You’ll work with the Head of Science and Head of Maths and Computing to refine and develop these, playing a key role in the development of materials for summative and formative assessment. Time will be divided between development work and contact hours, with contact hours peaking in semester 2.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Student-centred tutor, with experience teaching Psychology.
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject.

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification.
  • Confidence in teaching quantitative research methods.
