1st/2nd Line IT Technician

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.

We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st/2nd Line IT Technician to join our IT Department here at York.  Reporting to our Head of IT, this is a permanent, full time role working 37 hours per week.

This is a key role in providing technical hardware and software support for staff and students on a Microsoft Windows based network infrastructure, across our York site.   You will also support the effective use and maximise potential of IT in curriculum delivery, student centred learning, administrative and business functions of the College.

With a diploma in IT (Systems Support) or equivalent, the successful candidate should have knowledge of various IT hardware along with experience of supporting a Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 and 2016 environment. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively to strict deadlines.
