Are you interested in working with international students and play a key role in their preparation for University? At Study Group, our students travel from 142 different countries to study on our Higher Education preparatory courses. The students are miles from their family and will be faced with a new culture, lifestyle, and learning environment. This is an exciting job opportunity where you'll join the EAP team at our University of Surrey International Study Centre to teach on the final term of our programme. Starting from early June, you'll be teaching 12-18 hours per week, with an end date in September. It's a really exciting time as the centre is continuing to grow, meaning there is a strong potential for the right candidate to continue on a more permanent basis in the new academic year.

You'll be joining a team of 8 EAP Tutors that are friendly and supportive and have a variety of different teaching experience. There will be training and support available including induction, weekly meetings, webinars, and different workgroups to join in order to help you refine your teaching skills and methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this job, you'll deliver our EAP module provision, teaching groups across our International Foundation Year (Level 3) and our Pre-Masters (Level 6) programmes.  Our class sizes are on average between 10-15 students, giving you the opportunity to be innovative whilst providing an engaging learning experience. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of materials and formative assessment, across both our undergraduate and pre-masters students.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You will be a student centred Tutor, with experience teaching EAP in a higher education environment either abroad or in the UK.

- A DELTA or Masters in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or equivalent is essential

- If you have taught on pre-sessional EAP programmes this would be advantageous.

- You'll be proficient in the use of learning technologies.
