Course Leader, Assessing and IQA Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced course leader to join a growing team of assessors and Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) based within the Department of Teacher Education at Leeds City College. The successful applicant will take a lead role in liaising with employers to support new business activity and work with the Head of Department to shape the future growth of the provision.

You will co-ordinate a team of assessors and quality assurers and lead in the development and delivery of a range of assessment and quality assurance qualifications, including the Level 4 Assessor-Coach apprenticeship qualification.

In addition, you will have a proven track record of developing and delivering high quality assessing and verification qualifications and possess a clear understanding of the FE education and skills landscape.

The ideal candidate will hold a lead IQA qualification and a coaching qualification. A Level 5 teacher training qualification for the post-16 sector is also essential since the postholder will be required to deliver on a range of FE-based teacher training qualifications; for example, the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
