Possible start date: 4th February 2019
Working week: Mon - Fri 8am to 6pm,1 hour lunch
Would you like to work in the motor industry? Do you have good practical and problem solving skills? This is an ideal opportunity to work within a motor vehicle environment and learn how to repair and maintain a variety of vehicles.
The apprentice will be working within a team of technicians and providing support with the following:
- MOT testing
- Car and van servicing
- Tyre replacements
- Welding and exhaust replacements
- Carrying out diagnostics
- Producing estimates
- Repairs on vehicles
- Liaising with customers
- Any other tasks requested by the technicians
Entry requirements
GCSE Grades 4/C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent)
Skills Required
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- A keen interest and knowledge of the motor industry
- Attention to detail
- Mechanically minded
Personal Qualities
- Passionate about the automotive industry
- Hardworking

- Must have a 'can do' attitude
Qualifications taken
- Apprenticeship Framework in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Functional Skills qualifications (if required)
- Attendance at Bletchley College Campus
- Regular visits from the College into the workplace
- Observations and assessments in the workplace
- Use of e-portfolio
- Ongoing training and support from the employer
