Head of Department - Business, Computing and Travel & Tourism

We are seeking an inspirational leader to lead the growth, development and organisation of the Department of Business, Computing, Travel & Tourism; ensuring the progress and achievement of students; and the effective deployment and performance of staff.

The post holder will develop the curriculum plan to ensure it is future focused, cost effective, responsive to labour market information and LEP priorities, in order to meet the needs of students and employers. You will be expected to lead and encourage innovation in curriculum design and delivery to ensure that students are inspired, engaged and prepared for the world of work.

The successful candidate will lead and manage inspiring teaching, learning and assessment opportunities across the curriculum area.

You should hold a Teaching qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE or equivalent) along with a Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject.

You will be able to demonstrate recent teaching experience in a relevant curriculum area and evidence of successful programme/curriculum/resource management and leadership.

Interviews will be held on the 21st August 2018.
