PCA continues to foster international partnerships, developing a vibrant culture of scholarship and research, and has applied for Taught Degree-Awarding Powers.

Forward thinking, PCA is a creative community working across the fields of contemporary art, craft, design and media, with a focus on inquiry-led practice and integrated learning. We are seeking to appoint an adaptable and ambitious Lecturer to contribute to the development of the subject(s) and teach across two related programmes: BA (Hons) Textile Practices/BA (Hons) Printed Textile Design & Surface Pattern. You will demonstrate a broad range of knowledge and expertise across the subject(s), a commitment to expanded practices (including new and emergent technologies), a range of professional contexts, and champion the integration of theory and practice in learning and teaching.

The role will ensure the highest standards of learning and teaching, research and scholarship, knowledge transfer, and student experience in line with the ambitions of the School of Design + Communication, and in support of PCA’s strategic plan. The post holder will be active in their field contributing to Plymouth College of Art’s emerging research culture.
