Plymouth College of Art is one of a small number of independent art schools remaining in the UK’s Higher Education sector, and is nationally and internationally recognised for its ethical commitment to creative learning [through pedagogical innovation] and social justice [through community impact and social mobility]. PCA continues to foster international partnerships, developing a vibrant culture of scholarship and research, and has applied for Taught Degree-Awarding Powers.

Forward thinking, PCA is a creative community working across the fields of contemporary art, craft, design and media, with a focus on inquiry-led practice and integrated learning. The College puts the student at the centre, and is committed to interdisciplinary dialogue and open resources, providing an exciting context for collaboration, network building, and professional opportunities.

We are seeking to appoint an adaptable and ambitious Lecturer to contribute to the development of the subject and teach on the BA (Hons) Interior Decoration, Design & Styling programme. You will demonstrate a broad range of knowledge and expertise across the subject, a commitment to expanded practices (including new and emergent technologies), a range of professional contexts, and champion the integration of theory and practice in learning and teaching.

The role will ensure the highest standards of learning and teaching, research and scholarship, knowledge transfer, and student experience in line with the ambitions of the School of Design + Communication, and in support of PCA’s strategic plan. The post holder will be active in their field contributing to Plymouth College of Art’s emerging research culture.

Plymouth College of Art does not accept CVs in place of application forms.
