Learning Area Manager (LAM) - Health & Care

The Learning Area Manager will be responsible for the effective planning and management of the Learning Area to include; curriculum planning and delivery, quality assurance, staff development, learner management and budgeting. Assisted by the Assistant Learning Area Manager they will lead staff to ensure the highest standards of quality are embedded within the provision with a clear focus on raising standards and responding to learner needs.

You will be able to demonstrate success in driving up standards and providing team leadership through a course co-ordination or curriculum leadership role, supported by a sound knowledge of the diverse curriculum within the area and experience of delivering on Health and Care courses.

You will also have experience of working in a relevant vocational sector and have established a record of fostering good working relationships with employers and other stakeholders within the Health and Care external environment.

This management appointment covers provision and manages teams based across several sites and therefore the successful candidate will need to be flexible and highly organised.

You will possess a recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and hold a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification.

You will already hold or be willing to work towards achieving a Leadership and Management qualification.
