Applications are invited for Governors of Sparsholt College Hampshire (incorporating Andover College and University Centre Sparsholt). This is a stimulating, and often very rewarding, opportunity help enable thousands of young people to reach their full potential and benefiting employers and the wider community. We have one vacancy arising from August, and one from December.

We are seeking individuals from a range of backgrounds with senior level business, finance, legal or governance expertise and a desire to make a difference to the future success of the College and its students.    We are particularly interested to hear from applicants from groups underrepresented on the Board, including female applicants and those from all ethnic backgrounds.  Training, support and reasonable expenses (such as child care) are available.

The Board of Governors is made up of volunteers who contribute their knowledge and expertise in a challenging policy and funding environment - setting strategy, providing direction and assessing performance through on average 2-3 board/committee meetings each term. You will act as a critical friend for the Principal and the Strategic Leadership Team, providing constructive support and offering effective challenge.
