An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a small team within the Admin/Finance Department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will provide general support to the Manager
Responsibilities:
- Running Sales ledger invoice run at least half hourly
- Sorting post received in the morning/afternoon
- Posting Sales ledger cheques received from customers
- Posting Sales ledger BACS received from customers
- Putting cheques into paying in book
- Customer Credit notes processing
- Posting cash sales cash
- Overdraft figures and Account Balances - Should be weekly
- Bank rec's GBP, USD & EURO – Adhoc/cover
- Sales Ledger Month End Reconcilation
- Reconciling the cash books against what has been posted
- Scanning various documents into Filestream
- Other associated duties and other ad hoc tasks to cover when other members of the team are absent due to training, annual leave or sickness
Desired skills:
- Experience using a computer
- Any work experience would be advantageous
Personal qualities:
- Friendly and happy to work with a team
- Good attitude to get stuck in
- A desire to be on time and work hard when needed.
Desired qualifications:
- GCSE A-C in maths & English or equivalent is required.
Training provider:
- AAT Level 2
