The Centre for Education Studies, Newham College University Centre’s specialist section for Initial Teacher Education, requires a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach a variety of theoretical modules. You will use innovative and inclusive learning strategies which serve to motivate and support students to achieve outstanding academic and professional outcomes. You will have a proven record of exceptional classroom based practice, being able to link theory to practice.
Your recently moderated lesson observation grade should be judged as a minimum of good. You will need to value highly the student experience, teaching quality and standards, flexibility, professional practice and employability. We expect to appoint a future facing, innovative candidate who is fully conversant with current debates within education. You will be motivated and have a genuine passion to inspire the teachers of the future.
The opportunity to be appointed to the role of Principal Lecturer or Senior Lecturer may be available for an exceptional candidate.
