Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
As Health, Safety and Wellbeing Adviser you will be responsible for providing a proactive, timely and comprehensive advisory service to the college. This role is crucial in driving an excellent operational service focusing on best practise and continuous improvements.
You will be responsible for supporting mangers to achieve health and safety compliance overseeing and auditing of risk assessments, responsible for health surveillance and undertaking policy development. You will also be pivotal in delivering projects as part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy with a focus on continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH diploma level qualified (or equivalent), will be a graduate member of IOSH and will have worked in a similar role. It is essential that you have up to date knowledge of current and forthcoming legislation/best practice.
This role is a stand-alone technical specialist role and as such, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, be able to build credible relationships and influence quickly and be an approachable and visible presence around the college.
