An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Welding and Engineering to deliver on these subject areas and Irtec.
We are looking for someone who is able to teach welding and mechanical engineering. However, we will also consider someone who can teach welding for 2 days per week. We will also consider someone who can teach mechanical engineering for 4 days per week.
You will be passionate about your subject areas and will take ownership of the apprenticeship programme and grow the business and deliver an excellent learning experience. It will be critical you are innovative and able to communicate well with employers to understand their needs and design training to meet them.
An expert in Welding and Engineering, you will plan, prepare and deliver training and assessment in a College training facility and in the workplace.
You will be enthusiastic and motivated with experience of teaching or training or the belief that you can translate your expert knowledge into a teaching situation. It is essential that you have recent experience in the Welding and Engineering industry in addition relevant vocational qualification at Level 3/4 or above.
We would ideally like you to hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed / DTTLS or equivalent) or an assessor / verifier awards (A1/V1). If you don’t we’d need you to commit to working towards this alongside your role. You will also need Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
