We at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College, recently grade "Good" by OFSTED are looking for 2 Learning Support Assistants to join the college in delivering an excellent service. If you are as committed, driven and enthusiastic as we are to ensure an outstanding experience for the learners we serve we would love to hear from you.
The Role
You will be supporting students requiring additional help with their programmes of study across various areas within the College, creating positive relationships with them and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting. You will be supporting both the pastoral care and academic development of our learners, this may include students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs.
The Person
You will have a commitment to raising achievement through setting high expectations, reflective practice and continuous personal and professional development. The clear focus for the services work, and the basis for its reputation, is the provision of support in education for individuals with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. As well as needing great communication skills and the ability to use your initiative, you will also require a great sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Essential that you have qualifications at Level 2 or above in English and Maths.
- Effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential.
- Experience of working with young people who demonstrate challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
