Following the introduction of the new college strategic plan in March 2017, with a significant focus on embedding the development of students’ understanding of progression routes into our delivery of education, we are seeking to appoint a Careers and Employability officer to deliver Careers and Employer engagement at the College.
You will place students on work experience and provide careers guidance, resources and support to students. You will work closely to support the needs of students in specific pathways. A level of flexibility is required in order to balance the workload of work placements and careers advice.
You will need experience with hands on delivery regarding placing students onto work placements and careers guidance. Lead by the Careers and Employability Lead, you will be responsible for a broad suite of Careers and Employability services including, work experience coordination, development of students’ employability skills, developing new external partnerships and to maintaining existing partnerships with businesses and other relevant organisations.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, have Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice or QCG and have recent experience working in a farther education careers related role.
