Nescot is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs.  The College has benefitted from major capital investment and development over the last two years.  As well as completing a range of new buildings, a programme of refurbishment is underway to transform the campus into a modern, thriving and dynamic learning environment.

Nescot has achieved a reputation over the years for being at the forefront of Computing and IT training in the UK, and are therefore pleased to be looking to recruit to this exciting position within the Computing department.

We require an experienced and enthusiastic Computing teacher(s) to deliver on a number of programmes, preferably with a specialism in one or more of the following: Networking, Network Security, Hardware and Software or UTM skills. You will have demonstrable technical / vocational experience and the ability to teach across a range of IT provision including, Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships, HND level. Experience delivering on BTEC programmes is essential.

You must be open to change and have the skills to manage students effectively and meet challenges with a positive and flexible approach and be a team operator. Applicants should be well qualified and have the enthusiasm needed to contribute to a successful College and department.

You will be required to undertake a range of teaching activities and to contribute effectively to team working and providing tutorial support to students; you will also be required to IV, create learning materials and mark work and liaise with external examiners and external organisations.

The successful candidate(s) will have a degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Systems or similar and a full teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. All applicants should be able to demonstrate effective information technology skills, knowledge of up to date application software and ideally possess vendor qualifications or certifications.

Success in teaching FE learners together with an understanding of FE quality assurance and self-assessment would be an advantage for the candidate.
