County Training as part of Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College, are the largest training provider in Shropshire, operating from several bases across the county.  We are a major provider of apprenticeships and work-based training, as well as adult learning programmes and full time study programmes for young people seeking to progress into further education or employment.  We work closely with businesses and employers across the region, as well as other stakeholders such as local councils.

As part of the ongoing development of County Training's offer to employers and young people, we are seeking to complement our existing delivery team with an hourly paid Keyworker for our Study Programmes and Traineeships.

The post holder will be responsible for the recruitment, placement, monitoring and support of a caseload of learners following our Traineeship and Work Experience Study Programmes.  Key to this will be to source and develop work experience placements with a wide range of local employers.  The post holder will also be responsible for the co-ordination of all aspects of the learners' training programme, helping learners prepare for and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further education and training.

The post holder will be based at our site in Hereford.

Applicants should ideally have, or be currently working towards, a relevant IAG, counselling, teaching or learning support qualification and have some teaching, mentoring or learning support experience in either a school, work-based-learning or further education environment.  However, those without this experience but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply.

County Training is committed to safeguarding including Prevent, promotes the welfare of all learners and expects all staff to share this commitment.
