An exciting opportunity has arisen at Writtle University College for a proactive Bursary Administrator to join our Student Finance team, providing a professional, friendly and helpful service to students, parents and carers needing advice and guidance in relation to available hardship funding.
Reporting to the Student Finance Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, you will be required to process applications made to the bursary fund in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that the eligibility criteria are met. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of evidence, including details of spend and processes, in addition to updating the student hardship application paperwork for reviewing and approving applications in line with national funding guidance.
We are looking for a highly organised individual, who can prioritise their workload and efficiently responds to a variety of queries when they arise, whilst taking initiative and creativity in resolving problems.
To succeed in your application, it is essential that you are able to demonstrate recent experience of working in a similar environment, have excellent administration skills and hold a Level 3 qualification. You should be able to deal confidentially and sensitively with students and team members.
It would also be advantageous to have experience of monitoring budgets and have knowledge of hardship funding agency guidelines.
