Associate Senior Lecturer - Writer/Director (0.8)

Ravensbourne is looking to recruit a creative & innovative educator to join the Digital Film Production team.  This world renowned course is design-led, enabling students to create a broad range of filmic experience that reflects the diversity of the contemporary screen industry and to practice and experiment with evolving and emerging technologies. There will be an emphasis on collaboration, with our existing courses, as well as with our industry partners.

The successful applicant will have a first degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject, and should be able to demonstrate good, professional knowledge and experience (both industry and academic) in Digital Film Production, specifically in the field of writing/directing fiction.  Excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage students directly with their chosen industry will be of significant benefit, and the ability to deploy creative learning and teaching methods, and to innovate in curriculum design would be advantageous.  An active research profile or interest in participating in research is of interest.

Applicants will be expected to possess high level, current skills in Digital Film Production.  Applicants with experience of new approaches to online collaborations and online production tools will be particularly welcome, as would an ability to contribute to the understanding of the industrial contexts of Digital Film.  A high level of technical understanding and ability is essential.
