FA Women’s Football Apprentice

30 hours per week & 7.5 hours per week classroom based learning

12 month fixed term contract

An opportunity exists for an Apprentice to join Hartpury University & Hartpury College (Hartpury) working on promoting Women & Girls Football at Hartpury and within the local community. This is a joint venture between Hartpury and, the English Colleges Football Association (ECFA). In line with the Football Association’s (FA) Gameplan for Growth the primary role of the post is to contribute to the doubling of both the participation & fan base of Women’s & Girl’s football. You will be tasked with engaging 100 girls/women in the game who are new to football both in the college and local community.

Based at Hartpury, your working week will be spent managing projects, planning and delivering events such as FA Girls’ Football Week, meeting with local football stakeholders, recruiting and managing female football volunteers to help deliver activity, delivering football activity to college students and primary/secondary school students, all the while monitoring and evaluating your work. At the same time, you will undertake a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration at Gloucestershire College.

This post will involve working alongside the Sports Development & Physical Activity Co-Ordinator to grow the amount of women & girls regularly playing football. There is also the opportunity for the apprentice to work with the Women’s Football Academy Manager gaining experience of working with our elite athletes. The successful applicant must be available to attend a national training event on 20th – 22nd August 2019. The venue is yet to be confirmed (expenses are covered).

A further interview will be held via Skype with the AoC & FA will be held with the applicants put forward by the interview panel. The date of this interview is yet to be confirmed.
