The Activate Learning group is comprised of secondary, further and higher education, apprenticeship and workforce training, consultancy, international, commercial business and social enterprise. These learning organisations are united by a common purpose: to transform lives through learning.

Our six specialist, industry-facing faculties are organised across our three group colleges: City of Oxford College, Banbury and Bicester College, and Reading College.

Faculty teams of learning professionals co-create and co-deliver the learner experience alongside our carefully selected employer-partners, offering learners a direct line of sight to employment, and focusing on making every one of our learners a highly employable individual.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lifeskills Faculty at Banbury College.

We are seeking a teacher who has experience of working with young people aged 14-16 at Entry Level and Level 1 or vocational experience in age range. At the centre of the role is the delivery of lively and stimulating lessons within a varied programme that includes English and maths. Personal and social development and progression is also vital to this role.

This is a new project that is aimed at learners who have not been accessing education to engage them back in to learning and support progression in to full time future courses at Activate Learning.

The ability to deliver Functional skills in English and maths would be an advantage. The right applicant will need to demonstrate a learner-centred approach and motivate learners to achieve their full potential. We would expect a degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with experience of teaching within schools or the FE sector. This contract is fixed term until July 2019.

The successful candidate will also have qualified teacher status or be willing to work towards this qualification.
