About the role

As a lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery you will work as a member of a team to deliver a co-ordinated, integrated learning programme, ensuring learners receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success across the Construction department. You will be teaching carpentry and joinery to a range of students of all abilities and ages.  You will also need to teach functional skills across the area as required.

You must have broad experience of working within the construction industry. It is essential that you hold a Level 3 qualification in an appropriate craft/technical discipline.  A Teaching Qualification is required , e.g. DTTLS, PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent, or the desire to achieve.

It would be desirable if you hold an Assessor qualification, or the desire to achieve. Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in Maths and English is required.
